Vector Ethernet Network
The network-based mode is an abstraction of a network via a unique network name. There are no single channels anymore. The complete access to the network is made via the network name. In INCA, the network-based mode Vector Ethernet Network enables SOME/IP and Ethernet Monitoring.
In the INCA Hardware Configuration, the networks are represented as Vector Ethernet Network system. INCA uses the network name as unique identifier in the Serial Number field, for example SN: Ethernet2.
Note |
Configure all configuration settings, such as port settings, in advance in the Vector Hardware Configuration software. You can not change these settings in INCA. To operate the Vector Ethernet Network, you need a license. Contact your local ETAS sales representative to get a subscription software license. |
System limits
The Vector Ethernet Network supports via the Ethernet interface:

Enter any name for the hardware module.
Shows the serial number read from the device.
If the hardware is not connected or if it was not found during the hardware search, enter the complete number by hand (it can be found on the device).
The serial number must be entered as it is needed by INCA to identify the device. The serial number is stored in the hardware configuration.
Shows the firmware version of the connected hardware module.
Shows the hardware connection between the hardware and the PC.
