Starting the Experiment Environment
To start the experiment environment from the hardware configuration editor:
In the File menu, select Open experiment environment.
An already opened experiment environment is brought to the foreground and activated. If required, the hardware is initialized first.
If the initialization is successful, the Experiment: exp Hardware: hw dialog box opens.
If a hardware module is not found, a message box opens. Click the appropriate button:
- Yes, to repeat initialization.
- No, to open the experiment without repeating the initialization.
- Cancel, if you do not want to open the experiment environment.
The current hardware configuration in the Hardware: hw Experiment: exp window always remains open in the background.

You can open an experiment offline by activating the setting Experiment without full HW access in the Database Manager. If this setting is activated, the Experiment Environment is opened without fully initializing the referenced hardware. |
