How to check the firmware versionNote
The firmware of ETAS hardware can be checked and managed by means of the HSP Update Tool.
For 3rd party hardware, see the corresponding hardware documentation on how to manage the firmware.Open the HSP Update Tool:
From the Windows Start menu:
Select ETAS - HSP - HSP Update Tool from the Start menu.
From within INCA:
In the INCA Hardware Configuration Editor, select Check Firmware Status from the Hardware menu.
The HSP Update Tool opens. It shows whether the INCA version and the firmware version of the connected hardware are compatible. Moreover it displays the latest HSP version which contained the firmware found on the hardware, as well as a list of possible HSP versions for the used INCA version.
Check the compatibility information. If required, start the firmware update.
Note
For information on how to use the HSP Update Tool please refer to the help of the HSP Update Tool itself.
Note
You cannot perform any actions in INCA as long as the HSP Update Tool is opened.
- Close the HSP Update Tool and return to INCA.

If you want to make sure that the firmware version of hardware used by INCA is checked automatically, you can enable an Automatic Firmware Check via the INCA user options.
