Solution: Repower the device
It is likely that the device is not powered correctly.
To solve the problem:
Repower the device:
- If the device does not have a power switch, remove the power cable and plug it in again.
- Make sure that the power cable is connected properly at both ends (device and voltage supply).
- Check that the voltage supply (e.g. vehicle battery or switching power supply) is working / powered.
Check whether the correct voltage is supplied.
For details on the voltage required by the device, see the device's user's guide or the ETAS web pages.
- If the device is not connected directly to the PC, also repower the Ethernet switch.
- If you are using an XETK: bring the ECU into a safe state , then repower the XETK. If the XETK is powered by the ECU, you must also repower the ECU.
Is the power LED on now?

If the device does not have a power LED or if you can not see it, proceed with Yes to go on checking other potential causes for failure. |
