Append files

Use this operation to combine multiple measurement files into a single output file by appending them sequentially.

Use this operation when a recorder produces multiple consecutive measurement files that need to be processed as one continuous dataset.

1. After adding the Append files operation, select how the files are ordered via the Measurement order drop-down list:

   1. Alphanumerical file name order (A→Z): Files are sorted in ascending order based on their file names.

   2. Alphanumerical file name order (Z→A): Files are sorted in descending order based on their file names.

   3. Measurement date time order: Files are sorted based on their measurement timestamps.

   4. Sources order: Files are processed in the order in which they were added in the Sourcesstep.

2. (Optional) In the Fixed gap input field, enter a time value to insert a gap between each appended file.

3. To select the unit, use the drop-down list.

Note
Using a fixed gap may affect time-based analyses if the inserted gap does not reflect actual measurement conditions. Verify the resulting timeline before further processing.
