Create Sobol Screening
Model menu > Model Compression > Sobol Screening
Or
Extras menu > Sobol Screening
Note |
---|
The Sobol screening feature is only available if you have the additional license ASCMO_COMPRESSION_INTERNAL. |
The Sobol screening offers you the opportunity to measure an existing model (e.g. ASC GP) and re-generate new training data with a Sobol plan. This can be particularly helpful if the training data of the existing model were sketchy and the compressed model with the reduction of basis functions needs to be as close as possible to the basic model.
To create new training data, you must define the following parameters in the Create Sobol Screening window:
-
Data Set Size
Number of data points for screening.
-
Input Range
Here you can limit the scope of parameter variation with the following options:
-
Full Range (Min/Max)
The entire range of possible parameter variation is used.
-
Inside selected Hull on Inputs
The parameter variation is limited to the area within the selected hull. So you can, for example, concentrate the focus on areas with a smaller model sigma and neglect areas that can lead to a larger model sigma during the subsequent compression.
See also Configure Convex Hull on Inputs.
-
Outside selected Hull on Inputs
The parameter variation is limited to the area outside of the selected hull. Here the edges of the valid model range are considered and generates data in the extrapolation range.
-
User-Defined
Opens the User Defined Input Range window where you can set the input ranges manually.
-
-
Launch new ASCMO
Launch additional ASCMO with Screening Data for Training and existing Data for testing purpose.
-
Export Data to Excel
If activated, the Save Results to Excel File window opens when you close the window with OK. Here you can define a location and file name. If you click Save, the Excel file (*.xlsx) is stored.
OK
Applies your settings and closes the window.
Cancel
Discards your settings and closes the window.
