Loading a Bitmap

You can load an image file with BMP, JPG or TIFF format and use it as an icon in ASCET. Thus, you can either design your own icons with a drawing program, or use existing ones. You should make sure that the images you are importing are of an appropriate size, i.e. no larger than the graphical block the icon is to be assigned to. One grid unit in ASCET corresponds to 10 pixels.

Note

Progressive JPEG images cannot be used for ASCET icons. You must convert such a file to normal JPEG before you can import it.

  1. Open the icon in the icon editor.
  2. In the icon editor, open the Icon menu and select Load.

The "Image File" dialog window opens.

  3. Select the name of the image file you want to load.

  4. Click Open.

The selected image is displayed in the icon editor.
