Edit Menu

This menu contains the following functions:

Undo (<Ctrl> + <z>)

Reverses the most recent action.

Redo (<Ctrl > + <y>)

Reverses an undo command.

Cut (<Ctrl > + <x>)

Cuts (deletes) a selected diagram element or method/process.

Copy (<Ctrl > + <c>)

Copies a selected diagram element or method/process to the ASCET clipboard.

Paste (<Ctrl > + <v>)

Pastes a diagram item.

Delete (<Delete>)

Deletes a selected element or method/runnable.

Rename (<F2>)

Renames a selected element or method/runnable.

Insert (<Insert>)

Note
Only available in the Events field of the Event Specification view.

Inserts an event.

Find/Replace (<Ctrl > + <f>)

Note
Only available in the ESDL editor for software components.

Finds and replaces code parts; see Finding/Replacing ESDL Code.

Search (<Ctrl > + <Shift> + <s>)

Searches the component as described in Browsing the Database or Workspace. The range is limited to the edited component and its included components.

Select All (<Ctrl > + <a>)

Selects all elements in the Specification Panel.

Replace Component

Replaces a component with another component. The name of the old component remains.

Open Component

Opens the specification editor for a selected included component.

Notes

Opens the notes editor for an included component – you can make notes about the included component here.

Properties (<Ctrl > + <Shift> + <p>)

Edits the properties of the selected element.

Data (<Ctrl > + <Shift> + <d>)

Opens the data editor for the selected element.

Implementation (<Ctrl > + <Shift> + <i>)

The implementation editor for the selected element opens. Search of component implementations is possible.

Component

Data	Opens the data editor for the component. Search of component data is possible.
Implementation	Opens the implementation editor for the component. Search of component implementations is possible.
Layout	Opens the layout editor for the component.
Notes	Opens the notes editor – you can make notes about the component here.
