Browsing the Database or Workspace

You can browse the whole database or workspace for information on the relationship between items and elements. In a database, you can also search for operator implementations. For example, it is completely transparent in the Component Manager which items are used or referenced by other items. You can browse the database or workspace for these relationships using complex search criteria to display only the items in the database that fulfil the criteria.

When you browse the database or workspace, ASCET always searches the entire database/workspace, regardless of which folders or items are currently selected. It is possible to use wildcard characters when specifying the search criteria, e.g. typing *acc* will find all database items and elements that have the string acc in their name. The search is not case-sensitive.
