Managing Implementation Types
You can delete several implementation types simultaneously, but you have to rename them one by one.
- In the Impl. Type tab, select an implementation type.
To rename an implementation type, proceed as follows.
In the Edit menu, select Rename.
Or
Select Rename from the context menu.
The corresponding cell in the Name column becomes an input box.
Enter a name for the implementation type and press <Return>.
Note
Names of implementation types must not begin with a number. If you enter a name that begins with a number, an allowed name is suggested instead.
To delete one or more selected implementation types, do the following:
In the Edit menu, select Delete.
As an alternative, you can select Delete from the context menu, or press <Delete>.
A confirmation dialog window opens.
Note
Be careful when you delete implementation types. The delete cannot be undone.
If you want to give the same answer to all questions of this type, activate the option Remember my Decision.
You can revoke this setting in the ASCET options window, Confirmation Dialogs node.
- Click OK to actually delete the implementation type(s).
To find unused implementation types, do the following:
In the Filter Rule list, select Not used.
All implementation types used in at least one implementation of the project are hidden from the Impl. Types table. Only implementation types that are completely unused remain visible.
- If desired, select one or more unused implementation types and delete them as described in the previous step.
