Context Menu – Graphics Tab

In the Graphics tab of the project editor, the following context menu options can be used for included components.

Views

Opens the Views options dialog window. All available views are listed, and the visibility of the diagram element in each view can be edited.

Create ASCET Link

Creates an ASCET link that selects the project in the component manager.

Bring to Front

Places the selected diagram element in front of all other objects in the drawing area.

Send to Back

Places the selected diagram element in the back of all other objects in the drawing area.

Ports

Opens a submenu to change the way the component ports are displayed in the selected graphical occurrence.

Layout

Opens a submenu to change the appearance of the selected graphical occurrence of an included component. See also Working on Included Components.

Attributes

Edits the layout settings.

Enable flexible layout

Shows if flexible layout has been activated in the component manager or not. Can be used to determine whether the layout of this component can be altered whenever the component is included in a block diagram or project.

Select Icon

Adds an icon from the database/workspace to the layout.

Remove Icon

Removes the icon from the layout.

Use Default Attributes

Restores the default layout defined in the layout editor of the component.

Set Attributes as Default

Uses the current layout of the selected graphical occurrence as new default layout for the component.

Remove Occurrence (<Delete>)

Removes the selected diagram elements from the Graphics tab (but not from the project).

Open Component

Opens the specification editor for a selected included component.

Properties (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <p>)

Edits the properties of the selected element.

Data (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <d>)

Opens the data editor for the selected element.

Implementation (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <i>)

The implementation editor for the selected element opens. Search of component implementations is possible.

Show Path

Shows the path of an element or included component.

Show Referencing Element

Note

Only available for elements on project level.

Displays all elements on project level that reference the selected element. See also Searching Elements that Refer a Selected Element.
