Editing a Single Sample Point

Note

Sample points of arrays, matrices, fixed or group characteristic lines and maps, or distributions, cannot be edited. For arrays, matrices, and fixed characteristic lines/maps, the Axis menu is not available.

ClosedNormal Characteristic Lines/Maps

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Click the x axis sample point you want to change.
    • Highlight a value next to the sample point you want to edit, open the Axis menu and select Edit X Axis Point.

    The Edit X Axis point window opens.

  2. Enter the new value.

    The value has to be in between those of the previous and following sample points. If it is not, the change will not take effect.

  3. Click OK.

    When you have changed a value, an arrow indicating the kind of change appears to the left of it.

  4. Do one of the following to increment the value of the axis point selected:

    • In the Axis menu, select Increment X Axis Point.

    • Press <Ctrl> + <k>.

  5. Do one of the following to decrement the value of the axis point selected:

    • In the Axis menu, select Decrement X Axis Point.
    • Press <Ctrl> + <j> to decrement the value of the axis point selected.
ClosedGroup Characteristic Lines/Maps

You cannot edit sample points of group characteristic lines/maps. However, you can use the Axis menu to edit the assigned distribution.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Click the x axis sample point you want to edit.

    • Highlight a value next to the sample point you want to edit, open the Axis menu and select Edit X Axis Point.

    A confirmation window opens that asks you if you want to edit the assigned distribution.

  2. Click Yes to confirm.

    A selection window opens that offers all editors available for the distribution.

  3. Click OK to continue.

    The distribution opens in the selected editor.

  4. Edit the distribution values as described in Editing a Single Output Value, Editing Several Output Values, and Editing All Sample Points Simultaneously.

Both
  1. In the View menu, select Reset Change Marks to hide the arrows.
  2. In the Edit menu, select Undo Last Change to reverse your most recent action.
  3. In the Edit menu, select Redo Last Change to cancel the undo operation.

Note

The procedure for editing the sample points on the y axis (maps only) is identical. Just use the corresponding commands for the y axis.
