Assigning an Array or Matrix to a Measurement Window

Assigning an array or matrix of scalar or enumeration type to a measurement window works largely as described in the links given below, with an additional step.

1. From the Measurement Window combo box, select a measurement window.

   Possible new measurement windows are listed in brackets, e.g., <2. New Oscilloscope>. Existing measurement windows are listed without brackets, e.g., Numeric Display; 1.

2. In the Outline tab, select the array or matrix that you want to assign to a measurement window.

   You can select more than one array or matrix.

3. Do one of the following:

   • In the Extras menu or in the element's context menu, select Measure.
   • Drag the array/matrix from the Outline tab to the Measurement Window combo box.
   • Drag an occurrence of the array/matrix from the block diagram display to the Measurement Window combo box.
   • As an alternative, drag the element directly to an existing measurement window.

   The Edit indexed data elements dialog window opens. The first two columns of the table show the names and maximum index values of the selected arrays and matrices.

4. In the Edit indexed data elements dialog window, use the third column to specify the array/matrix elements you want to measure.

   EXAMPLE
   The highlighted entries in the Edit indexed data elements dialog window ... ... assign the x0, x2, and x3 elements of array and the x1y0, x1y1, x2y0, and x2y1 elements of matrix to a measurement window.

5. Click OK to close the window and accept the selection.

   The selected array/matrix elements are added to the measurement window.
