Creating a Signal

In the Component Manager, select a folder for the new signal.
Do one of the following:
- In the Insert menu, select Signal.
- Press <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <g>.
- In the context menu, point to Insert and select Signal.
The new signal is created with a default name and layout.
Note
For workspaces, the length of the path is limited to 180 characters. When the path of the new signal would exceed that length, an error message opens and the procedure is aborted.
Edit the name and press <Enter>.
You can now open the signal in the signal viewer.
