Creating an AUTOSAR Interface

An AUTOSAR interface is created in the Component Manager.

1. In the ASCET options window, Modeling node, activate the Enable Creation of AUTOSAR Components option

   Note
   Without activated Enable Creation of AUTOSAR Components option, you cannot create AUTOSAR components.

2. In the "Database" or "Workspace" list, Component Manager, select a folder for the new AUTOSAR interface.

3. In the Component Manager, open the Insert menu, point to AUTOSAR and select SenderReceiver Interface or NVData Interface or Calibration Interface or ClientServer Interface.

   A new AUTOSAR interface of the selected type is created with a default name.

4. Edit the name and press <Enter>.

   Note
   AUTOSAR interface names must not contain underscores (_). The maximal length for an interface name is 32 characters.
