Updating Items to Latest Revision (Advanced Mode)

By default, the Simple Mode user interface is used for updating. To update items in Advanced Mode (as described below), deactivate the Simple Mode user interface first.

In the ASCET component manager, select the items you want to update.
In the SCM menu, select Update to Latest Revision.
If an item you selected for updating has been changed in your current ASCET session, the Local Modifications Detected dialog box warns you that the update will undo these changes. Do one of the following:
- Click Yes to continue the update and discard the changes.
- Click No to cancel the entire update.
The selected items are updated to the latest available revision. The Update to Latest dialog box opens; it shows the detailed results of the operation.
Close the Update to Latest dialog box.

Note
If you select a folder in ASCET, the Update to Latest Revision command does not search for items in the same folder that exist in the repository but not yet in the ASCET database/workspace. To retrieve new items, use the Checkout command.
