What is a Project?

A project is a container for configurations. Projects offer the possibility to work with configurations. Projects allow you to use basic file management operations typical for MS Windows applications.

A project is a description of the interface between ECU and an (X)ETK device. One project can contain more than one configuration for different (X)ETK device types.

If two or more (X)ETK devices of different types shall be used alternatively with one ECU, they should be managed in one project. If two or more (X)ETK devices shall be used in parallel, they should be managed in different projects. Thus, two interfaces between ECU and (X)ETK device would need two projects.

All configurations in a specific project share the memory layout and the raster list, but have their individual hardware settings. A project can not contain more than one configuration of a specific (X)ETK device type.

In addition to the file management operations there are functions for importing and exporting configuration data from/to ASAM MCD-2MC files.
