ETK-S22.0A
The ETK-S22.0A is an ETK for the RH850/E1X microcontroller family.
This serial ETK can be used for measurement and calibration applications, rapid prototyping, and flashing.
The ETK-S22.0A is connected to the calibration and development system with 100 Mbit/s.
Configuration Parameters
The following list shows the parameters for the ETK-S22.0A device:
Defines the type of the microcontroller used in the ECU.
Defines the frequency used for the JTAG interface.
Controls if the watchdog disable feature of the ETK is enabled or disabled.
- NO: The watchdog disable mechanism is not used, hence the watchdog is enabled all the time.
- YES: The watchdog is disabled when a debugger gets connected to the ECU or if PROF flashing is ongoing.
Selects the method used for the hardware handshake between the ECU and the XETK, as well as for triggering a data acquisition by the ECU.
-
Register Triggering: The ETK uses register based handshake.
If this option is selected, Register must be selected for Handshake Startup Message and Infinite must be selected for Handshake Timeout.
-
Timer Triggering: In case that the ECU does not support handshake, select this option so that the ETK simulates a handshake. The ETK reports a successful handshake completion to the software after the time selected via Handshake Timeout has elapsed.
If this option is selected, Timeout must be selected for Handshake Startup Message and one of the timeout values must be selected for Handshake Timeout.
Select the trigger to start up handshake. The same option should be selected under Handshake & Trigger Interface.
- Register: Use Register Triggering.
- Timeout: Use Timer Triggering.
Select the timeout value for the handshake.
- Infinite: This option must be selected for Register Triggering.
- timeout values (1 ms, 10 ms, …): Select one of the timeout values if Timer Triggering is used. ETK will report a simulated successful handshake completion to the software after the selected time has elapsed.
Selects the polling rate in μs. Typically at least twice as fast as the fastest raster in a measurement.
Selects the signal the (X)ETK will use for ECU standby RAM (working page) power supply supervision.
- ETK Standby Supply: (X)ETK is monitoring the standby supply it provides to the ECU.
- No Standby Supply: (X)ETK is monitoring the standard ECU power supply; the working page is not using a standby supply.
Controls which level of the watchdog disable signal shall disable the watchdog.
- Low: Low level shall disable the watchdog.
- High: High Level shall disable the watchdog.
Defines whether the (X)ETK device arbitrates between the connected debugger and its own accesses to the ECU memory.
It is a simple arbitration so that the (X)ETK will not have access while the debugger is connected. The debugger should support the JTAG interface to communicate with the ECU.
Defines the method of serial memory access:
-
Default: Standard memory access using RH850 “Type A” full access sequence.
-
Optimized Block Read: Improves performance by utilizing an optimized RH850 “Type A” access sequence for contiguous/block reads, omitting redundant JTAG IR scans.
-
Optimized Scattered Read: Improves performance by utilizing an optimized RH850 “Type B” access sequence for scattered or contiguous/block reads.
