Options Dialog Box
In the 'Options' dialog box, you can specify the appearance of the XETK Configuration Tool as well as the hardware search.
This dialog box contains the following fields and buttons:
Visual Style
In this combo-box, you can specify the visual style of the XETK Configuration Tool.
In this tab, you can specify the dimensions of the main window after closing and restarting the XETK Configuration Tool.
Start Mode
The following options are available:
maximized |
The main window is always maximized after start-up. |
minimized |
The main window is always minimized after start-up. |
normal |
The main window is started with the width and height that is specified in the parameters below. |
restore |
The main window is started with the same size as before closing. |
Width and Height
These settings specify the size of the main window after start-up. They are only considered if the start mode 'normal' is selected.
The table in this tab lists all available network adapters. You can specify which of the available networks shall be used when searching for hardware.
The network configuration itself can not be changed in this tab; the network configuration is only shown for your information. Please use other tools for configuring the network, e.g. the ETAS Network Manager for your work with ETAS tools.
Active Network Adapter
By checking or unchecking the checkboxes in this column, you can determine which network adapters shall be considered when searching for hardware.
The ETAS network is always used by the XETK Configuration Tool when searching for hardware; therefore the corresponding network adapter can not be disabled.
Name
Shows the network adapter name.
IP address
Shows the IP address of the network adapter.
Subnet Mask
Shows the setting of the subnet mask.
DHCP
Shows whether the network adapter is configured for DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol; DHCP is used by networked devices to obtain from a DHCP server the parameters necessary for operation in a network environment..
Enabled |
The network adapter is configured for DHCP. |
Disabled |
The network adapter is not configured for DHCP. |
Alternative IP address configuration
Shows whether using an alternative IP address is configured for the network adapter.
This setting is only applied if DHCP is enabled for the network adapter.
Enabled |
The network adapter is configured for using an alternative IP address if the DHCP server is unavailable. In this case, the alternative IP address that is configured in the Windows settings will be used. |
Disabled |
The network adapter is not configured for using an alternative IP address. |
OK
Applies the option settings and closes the dialog box.
Cancel
Closes the dialog box without applying the option settings.
Apply
Applies the option settings without closing the dialog box.
Help
Opens online help for this dialog box.
