Navigating with the Time Slider

You can perform the following actions:

To scroll the time range

For scrolling, you can use the mouse wheel. Alternatively, you can do the following:

Hover the cursor over the time slider.
When the cursor changes into a hand symbol, drag this area to the desired position.

or

Click the scale (outside the currently visible time range for instruments with variable scale).
The time slider scrolls by one page.

or

To move left, press the Page Up key. To move right, press the Page Down key.

The time slider scrolls by one page.
To navigate to the beginning of the time range, press the Home key.
To navigate to the end of the time range, press the End key.

To perform a fast scrolling

Do one of the following:
- In instruments with variable scale (e.g. oscilloscope and scatter plot), the magnified section of the time range must be displayed (see To zoom the visible time range). Hover the cursor over the currently visible time range.
- In instruments with fixed scale (e.g. table), hover over the current time stamp that is displayed as a blue line.
While keeping the mouse button pressed, move the cursor to the desired position.

The faster you move the cursor, the faster is the scrolling performed.

To scroll slowly line by line

Use the keyboard and press the Arrow Up, Arrow Down, Arrow Left, or Arrow Right keys.

To enter an exact value for the time range

Click one of the tooltips in the time slider showing the start and end time of the displayed time range. Alternatively, press Ctrl+B.
Enter the value for the time range.
Do one of the following:
- To apply the new value to the time range, press Enter.
- To apply the new value to the time range and to directly jump to the other tooltip, press Tab or Ctrl+B.
