Managing Licenses via Command Prompt

With the application LiMaBorrow you can borrow, return, autoborrow, and backup licenses via the command prompt (CMD).

Make sure the file LiMaBorrow.exe is located in the following folder:

<Drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ETAS\Licensing\bin\

You can run the LiMaBorrow.exe via the command prompt, a script file, or a batch file.

 

To manage license conditions via CMD

  1. Close all open ETAS programs.
  2. Open a Command Prompt window (cmd.exe).
  3. Change to the following directory:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\CommonFiles\ETAS\Licensing\bin\

  4. In the command line, enter LiMaBorrow X Y.

    For X, choose one of the following commands:

    • borrow
    • return
    • autoborrow
    • backup or restore

    For Y, choose command options listed in Command Options.

  5. To display the help information, enter LiMaBorrow --help.
