Rehost and Return

Offline Return

  • The ETAS License Manager software (LiMa) generates a Capability Request file, which is manually transferred to a connected system from which it can be uploaded to FlexNet Operations. The Capability Response is downloaded from FlexNet Operations and transferred to the ETAS License Manager software (LiMa) for processing.

  • LiMa processes the Capability Response and the license is removed from the device. LiMa generates the confirmation file which needs to be uploaded to FlexNet Operations.

  • After the upload of the Confirmation Response in FlexNet Operations, the license is available again for activation.

  • Online Return is not supported.

Manual Return

  • If the customer PC is defect or lost, the customers should inform ETAS customer support for manual return processes.

Rehost (only possible through return + new activation)

  • After the return process, the license can be activated on another device.
