The ETAS License Manager software (LiMa) generates a Capability Request file, which is manually transferred to a connected system from which it can be uploaded to FlexNet Operations. The Capability Response is downloaded from FlexNet Operations and transferred to the ETAS License Manager software (LiMa) for processing.

LiMa processes the Capability Response and the license is removed from the device. LiMa generates the confirmation file which needs to be uploaded to FlexNet Operations.

After the upload of the Confirmation Response in FlexNet Operations, the license is available again for activation.

Online Return is not supported.
Manual Return

If the customer PC is defect or lost, the customers should inform ETAS customer support for manual return processes.
Rehost (only possible through return + new activation)

After the return process, the license can be activated on another device.
