Borrowed License Cannot Be Returned
If a borrowed license cannot be returned, a warning message is displayed.
Cause
The borrow information has been lost on the license server because the license server configuration has been changed or updated.
Solution
To solve the problem, you have to make the information on your computer consistent with the information on the license server by removing the borrow information from your computer. Proceed as follows:
- Verify whether the borrow information has been lost on the license server due to changes in the license server configuration or whether the license server might be unavailable only temporarily. Contact your system administrator for precise information.

If the license server is unavailable only temporarily:
Wait until the license server is available to return the borrowed license.
CAUTION
Never remove the borrow information from your computer if the borrow information still exists on the license server. This might decrease permanently the number of available licenses on the server.
or
If the borrow information has been lost on the license server due to changes in the license server configuration:
Confirm the displayed message box with Yes.
The ETAS License Manager will safely remove the borrow information from your system.
If you want to continue using the ETAS software, you can once again borrow a license from the license server as usual.
