Check-Out is Too Slow

The license check-out may take a few minutes, especially when server-based licenses are used.

Cause 1

If the server is currently unavailable, this will lead to a timeout.

Solution 1

To solve the problem, you can cancel the check-out.

Proceed as follows:

  1. In the ETAS License Manager window, select the license for which you want to cancel the check-out.
  2. In the context menu, select Cancel Checkout.

    The check-out for this license is skipped.

Cause 2

Server-based licenses are checked out before machine-based licenses.

Solution 2

To solve the problem, you can influence the order of the check-out.

Proceed as follows:

  1. In the Tools menu, select Display license path.
  2. Click Open Path in Explorer.

    All licenses are shown.

  3. Rename all machine-based licenses by adding a "0" in front of the file name.

    For the next check-out, the machine-based licenses are prioritized.
