Merging Contents of Dataset and ECU Memory

If the dataset contains both valid and invalid calibrations, it is not possible to download the complete dataset to the ECU memory as it is.

You have the following options:

You can download only all valid calibrations to the ECU memory.
This makes sure that your calibration results are available in the ECU; however, the dataset still contains invalid calibrations.
You can upload all calibrations from the ECU memory, thus replacing both valid and invalid calibrations with the contents from the ECU memory.
This makes sure that all calibrations in the dataset are valid; however, your calibration results are overwritten in the dataset.
You can download the valid calibrations to the ECU and replace the invalid calibrations with calibrations from the ECU in one single step by selecting the action Equalize.
The Equalize action merges the contents from the dataset and the ECU memory: It downloads the valid calibrations to the ECU memory to make them active. At the same time, it replaces the invalid calibrations in the dataset with valid calibrations from the ECU. As a result, all calibrations become valid.
This procedure is described below.

To merge the contents of the dataset and the ECU memory:

In the Devices field, select the devices for which you want to perform the selected action.
In the Action field, activate Equalize.
The From field shows the entry Datasets.
The To field shows the entry Working page.
The Apply to field shows the entry All calibrations.
Check the Calibration access box.
If necessary, activate or deactivate the ECU group via the Device group active field.
Check the settings from the visual display of the selected action:
The source is underlaid blue, the destination is underlaid orange.
Click Do It.
All valid calibrations are downloaded from the dataset to the ECU memory. Afterwards, the calibrations that are unknown in the dataset are uploaded from the ECU memory to the dataset. As a result, all calibrations are valid, and the data in both dataset and ECU memory are equal.
