Reading ECU Memory

To make the contents of the ECU memory available in your datasets, you can upload them, thus replacing the datasets.

If the dataset refers to a project without information on memory segments, it may contain invalid calibrations. To support this case, you can download only the valid calibrations from the ECU memory and replace all invalid calibrations by means of an upload.

Note

Downloading all valid calibrations from the dataset to the ECU memory and using the upload to replace only the invalid calibrations is possible in one single step by merging the contents using the action Equalize.

To read datasets from the ECU memory:

  1. In the Devices field, select the devices for which you want to perform the selected action.
  2. In the Action field, activate Upload.

The From field shows the entry ECU.

The To field shows the entry Working page + Reference page + Code page.

  3. Check the Calibration access box.
  4. In the Apply to field, activate the corresponding setting:

    • Data to read the datasets
    • Code + Data to read the datasets and the code page
  5. If necessary, activate or deactivate the ECU group via the Device group active field.
  6. Check the settings from the visual display of the selected action:

The source is underlaid blue, the destination is underlaid orange.

  7. Click Do It.

The data is read from the ECU memory and stored in INCA in the current working and reference datasets.
