Defining Download for Differences Working page/Reference page

If you set the following options, you get a faster reinitialization behavior of INCA for manual usage, testbeds, and HIL use cases. INCA automatically checks if it is possible to execute a fast download only for dataset differences or to execute a standard download for the complete working page dataset. To detect which dataset have to be downloaded, INCA checks if the checksums of the INCA Reference Page, the ECU Reference Page, and the ECU Working Page are identical.

To define download for differences:

• In the Database Manager, click the User Options button and select the Hardware tab.
• Set the option Optimized Download to Yes.

• In the Hardware Configuration editor, in the 2 Parameters area set the option Connection behavior to Reinitialize automatically and download the working page.

  Note
  This option does not apply to all hardware devices. It is only applicable for XCP and CCP protocols.

• In the Memory Page Manager, in the 5 From area select the entry Differences Working page/Reference page.

  INCA reinitializes automatically and downloads only the dataset differences.
