Initializing Hardware

Click on the arrow
of the Initialization Hardware icon and you have the following options:
| Initialize Hardware | Initializes all hardware added to the current workspace in the Hardware Configuration Editor. |
| Initialize Unconnected Devices | Initializes devices that are not yet connected. |
| Initialize Device | Initializes or re-initializes only the selected device. |
To initialize hardware:
In the Hardware menu, select
Initialize Hardware. If devices of different types are added to the workspace, all devices are initialized.
If devices of the same type are added to the workspace, the Hardware Mapping dialog box opens. Here you can create connections between the connected devices and devices created in INCA.
To initialize unconnected devices
In the Hardware menu, select
Initialize Unconnected Devices.
To initialize single devices
In the 1 Hardware Devices area, select the device you want to initialize.
In the Device menu, select
Initialize Device.Note
For certain systems, single devices can not be initialized. You can only initialize the complete system.
The success of the initialization of individual devices is displayed in the Hardware devices list:
| The device is inactive. |
| The device was successfully initialized. |
| The device is not initialized or not connected. |
| The device is physically available, but can not be accessed. |
| The hardware status can not be detected. |
