Initializing Hardware

There are three different ways to initialize hardware in INCA.

Click on the arrow of the Initialization Hardware icon and you have the following options:

Initialize Hardware

Initializes all hardware added to the current workspace in the Hardware Configuration Editor.

Initialize Unconnected Devices

Initializes devices that are not yet connected.

Initialize Device

Initializes or re-initializes only the selected device.

To initialize hardware:

To initialize unconnected devices

To initialize single devices

The success of the initialization of individual devices is displayed in the Hardware devices list:

The device is inactive.
This status is used only for certain devices, e.g. ODX Flash devices.

The device was successfully initialized.

The device is not initialized or not connected.

The device is physically available, but can not be accessed.

The hardware status can not be detected.
This status may only occur for 3rd party hardware devices.
