Connection Types of Devices

You can connect devices of the same type in the following ways:

	The devices are connected on the basis of their identical serial numbers.
	The devices are connected on the basis of their identical stack IDs.
	The devices are connected on the basis of the serial number history. The serial number history contains all serial numbers already assigned to the device. You can view them on the Parameters tab by selecting the Serial number parameter from the table.
	The devices are connected on the basis of the stack ID history.
	The devices are connected on the basis of their identical types.
	The devices are connected on the basis of their identical stack systems.
	The devices are connected on the basis of their identical internal name (alias).
	The devices are connected manually.
	The devices are connected on the basis of their type, but the connection is ambiguous.
