Measurement and Calibration Using XCP (Ethernet)

XCP (eXtended Calibration Protocol) is a vendor- and interface-independent protocol for communication between calibration tools and control units. However, it can also be used by modules that support measuring tasks only. XCP was specified in the ASAM e.V.

The control unit can be connected directly using the Ethernet interface. It uses XCP to communicate with the ECU.

Some parameters that are displayed in the Hardware Configuration Editor are loaded from the A2L file in advance.

Several acquisition rates can be acquired using XCP on Ethernet.

XCP allows you to use an Ethernet connection to access the ECU-supported memory options. All functions required for memory page management are available using this connection.

Open the Hardware Configuration Editor or experiment environment dialog box to run the Memory Page Manager.

Note

Specifications for implementing XCP in ETAS calibration systems can be obtained directly from ETAS
