Identifying a Device

With this function, you can cause the physically connected devices to signal their location by flashing an LED. Devices can be identified by means of their serial number and type.

To locate a device or chain:

1. In the Topology list, select the chain or device you would like to identify in the vehicle.

2. In the Device menu, select Identify, or click the following icon in the toolbar:
   

   If you selected a device in the list, the identification LED of the physical hardware is flashing.

   If you selected a chain, the LEDs of all devices in that chain are flashing.
