Calibrating a Lambda Module with Regard to a Sensor
Aged sensors often do not provide precise measurement values any more. To compensate this effect, you can calibrate the Lambda module with regard to the connected sensor.
To calibrate a Lambda module:
- In the Topology list, select the Lambda device that you would like to calibrate.
Select Calibration on air from the Device menu.
The pumping current Ip gets measured. A dialog is opened where you can enter the oxygen level of the ambient air.
If the sensor is not connected, an error message is displayed.
- Enter the ambient air concentration and click OK.
Afterwards a linear correction factor is set automatically which is calculated in such a way that computations result in the expected oxygen level of the ambient air. The result of the computation is stored permanently and thus still valid after re-powering.
Note |
When using a new sensor, you should reset the Lambda module to its original values by selecting Calibration Reset in the Device menu. All correction factors for the selected channel will then be reset to 1. |
