Daisy Chain Configuration Program

The Daisy Chain configuration program, which is either integrated into INCA or provided as a standalone tool, enables you to configure modules of the following product families on your computer:

You can configure them on the PC, read hardware arrangements from the physically connected hardware or apply the settings that you defined on the PC to the connected hardware. Moreover the Daisy Chain configuration program allows the interchange of complete configurations with other installations of the software and even other tools as well as the storage of device configurations in the memories of the devices themselves.

Some daisy chain modules support different device modes. In standard device mode, only those parameters are displayed that are used in daily tasks, thus providing a better overview. In the advanced device mode, additional parameters which are only required for extended administrative tasks are also displayed.
If you need to configure your devices in the advanced device mode, call your local ETAS contact.

Networks with Daisy Chains

The Ethernet-capable hardware modules of the ES4xx, ES63x and ES93x families can be arranged in daisy chains. The daisy chains can be connected to the PC or to an ES600 network module.

The following diagrams show example topologies of a network with measurement devices in daisy chain configurations:
