Reading Characteristic Lines from a Device

You can read characteristic lines that are used by the ES43x or ES63x Lambda device from the device itself and save them in a file on your hard-disk.

Reading characteristic lines from the device is only supported for Lambda devices of the ES43x and ES63x families.
Reading characteristic lines from an ES43x Lambda device is only possible in advanced device mode.

When you read in lines from an ES63x device, you can select from a list which lines you want to save to file. For ES43x devices, the Read Lines command always saves the Lambda line(s) used by the device, without any explicit selection.

To read characteristic lines from a ES43x Lambda device and save them in a file:

Select the device in the Topology list whose characteristic lines you would like to read.
In the Device menu, select Read Lines.
A file selection dialog opens. Specify path and name of the file and click Save.
The definitions of the device's lines get saved in a CSV file in the given path.
Click OK to close the message box that informs you about the save status.

To read characteristic lines from a ES63x device and save them in a file:

Select the device in the Topology list whose characteristic lines you would like to read.
In the Device menu, select Read Lines.
The Read Lines dialog opens. It lists all lines that are saved in the selected device or in the Daisy Chain configuration program for that device type.
Select the desired lines and click Read Lines from Device. If you would like to select more than one line, you can use the Shift or Ctrl key for multi-selection of several lines.
A file selection dialog opens. Specify path and name of the file and click Save.
The definitions of the selected lines get saved in a CSV file in the given path.
Click OK to close the message box that informs you about the save status.
Click Close.
