Applying Selected Parameters to the Hardware
After having configured devices in the Daisy Chain configuration program, you can write settings of configuration parameters to the physically connected hardware devices to save them in the devices' own memory. The parameter settings are automatically applied, and they are saved in the device memory so that they are persistent even after powering the device down and re-powering it.
You can choose whether you want to apply the complete configuration or just selected parameters.
Applying selected configuration parameters to the device is only supported for Lambda devices of the ES63x family and for the ES93x Multi-IO module.
To apply selected parameters to a physically connected device:
- In the Topology list, select the device whose configuration parameters you would like to apply.
In the Device menu, select Apply Operating Parameters.
The Apply Operating Parameter Dialog opens.
- Tick the checkboxes for all parameters you would like to apply. Each checkbox in the dialog refers to one tab in the configuration parameter table.
- Click Apply Operating Parameters to download the settings from the Daisy Chain configuration program to the hardware device and apply them.
- Click Close to close the dialog.
Note |
As an alternative to this procedure, you can also right-click on a table row in the parameter tab and select Apply Operating Parameters from the context menu, thus applying only the parameters of the selected channel to the device. |
