Reading a Control Device Identifier

Note

You can make these settings only if you have connected the control device via a serial interface with KWP2000 as communication protocol.

To read the current hardware/software status of a control device:

  1. In the Device menu, select Read ECU ID.

    The Read ECU identification manually dialog box opens.

  2. Enter the bus address of the control device in the Address (HEX) field.

  3. Click Read ECU ID.

    The information is displayed in the ECU ID field.

  4. Click Close.
