Changing Mapped Hardware

To change connected hardware:

  1. In the Hardware menu, select Hardware Mapping.

    The Hardware Mapping dialog box opens.

    If the serial number, the internal name (alias) or the type of the hardware to be mapped is identical, INCA automatically suggests suitable connections in the Connected field.

  2. To swap the connections suggested by INCA:

    1. In the Connected field, mark the connections to be swapped.
    2. Click Exchange.

      The connection components are swapped.

  3. To change the connections suggested by INCA:

    1. In the Connected field, mark the connections to be changed.
    2. Click <<.

      The hardware is displayed in the INCA Hardware Configuration and Detected Hardware fields.

    3. Mark the suitable hardware in these fields. You can identify the hardware by their serial numbers, their internal names (alias), or their types.
    4. Click >>.

      The new connection is shown in the Connected field and marked with Generate/hw-info51.jpg.

    5. Repeat steps c) and d) for further connections.
  4. To disconnect hardware:

    1. To disconnect all hardware, click Disconnect All.
    2. To disconnect single connections, in the Connected field, mark the connection you want to release > click <<.

      The connection is released. The connection components are displayed in the INCA Hardware Configuration and Detected Hardware fields.

  5. Click OK.
