Manually Converting Experiments to support New Oscilloscopes

If the automatic conversion of an experiment that supports old oscilloscopes was canceled or interrupted, the conversion can still be performed manually. During conversion, old oscilloscopes are saved in the experiment while maintaining their settings in the new oscilloscope.

To manually convert an experiment:

  1. In the INCA main window, select an experiment with the following symbol: (The experiment only supports old oscilloscopes).
  2. In the Edit menu, select the Convert Experiment and Open experiment and update oscilloscopes menu functions.

A dialog box for selecting a workspace will appear.

  3. Select a workspace in which to open the experiment.
  4. Confirm with OK.

The selected experiment will be converted. A backup copy of the experiment is created. The backup copy is named after the experiment, with an additional increasing number.

Note

The conversion will not auto commit. Save the experiment when possible.

Converted experiments cannot be used in earlier INCA versions. More information is available under "Compatibility Between Oscilloscopes and INCA Versions".
