Automatically converting Experiments to support New Oscilloscopes

When opening experiments for the first time that support old oscilloscopes, these experiments can be converted so that they exclusively support the new oscilloscopes. Existing, old oscilloscopes are transferred to new oscilloscopes while maintaining their settings.

To automatically convert an experiment:

  1. Open an experiment from the INCA main window with the following symbol: (not converted).

A dialog box for converting the experiment will appear.

  2. Select Yes.

The selected experiment will be converted. A backup copy of the experiment is created. The backup copy is named after the experiment, with an additional increasing number.

Note

If a dialog box does not appear, the automatic conversion was already confirmed or canceled. The experiment can still be manually converted.

Converted experiments cannot be used in earlier INCA versions. More information is available under "Compatibility Between Oscilloscopes and INCA Versions".
