Creating a Template for a Mapping File

To create a template for a mapping file with which an experiment is converted for use with a different project:

In the Database Objects list box, select the project for which you want to convert the experiment.
In the Edit menu, point to Convert Experiment, and then select Create mapping table template.
A file selection dialog box opens.
Enter the path and file name for the template.
The template contains all variables and rasters of the selected project. You cannot use the template directly: it is used to generate the mapping file by entering for each entry in the template the name of the respective item in the target project.

How the template will be generated from the project file can be configured in the ASAP2.ini file.
