Finding and Automatically Replacing a Device
To search automatically for connected devices and insert them in the workspace:
- In the Project/Device list box of the workspace select the desired project.
In the Device menu, select <search for hardware>.
A dialog box opens in which you can select the host interfaces you want to search for.
You can search for hardware over the LPT, Ethernet, and COM hardware interfaces. If you have installed the INCA J2534 add-on, you can also search for hardware for which there are already J2534 standard device drivers installed on your PC.
Note
If you search for J2534 devices, the generic ETAS J2534 provider will not be listed, although it is installed.
Click OK.
The project is analyzed and the devices specified in it are inserted directly into the workspace.
If no matching devices are connected, a message is displayed, and the action is canceled.

Make sure that the devices are correctly connected to the computer and are working properly. |
