Writing Datasets to HEX Files

To write a dataset to a HEX file:

  1. Select a dataset in the Datasets list box.
  2. In the Dataset menu, select Create HEX file.

    The Select a HEX file dialog box opens.

  3. Select a folder to which you want to save the HEX file.
  4. Enter a file name for the HEX file.
  5. Click Save.

    The dataset is saved as a HEX file in the selected folder.

To write datasets to HEX files:

  1. Select one or more datasets in the Datasets list box.
  2. In the Dataset menu, select Create HEX file.

    The Directories dialog box opens.

  3. Select a folder to which you want to save the HEX files.

    INCA uses for more than one dataset defaults for the file settings. The name of the dataset, for example, is the default for the new file name. You can change the file settings (see User Options: Hex Files Tab).

  4. Click Save.

    The datasets are saved as HEX files in the selected folder.

In the user options, you can make settings for filing out unused fill sections, fill bytes and fileout ranges.
