Changing a Fill Byte

When reading a HEX file, missing bytes are filled with fill bytes. You can change the current fill bytes individually after reading the file.

To change the fill byte for undefined ranges of a dataset:

1. In the Datasets list box, select the dataset for which you want to change the fill byte.

2. On the Dataset menu, select Fill Undefined Ranges with Fill Byte.

   The Fill Undefined Ranges with Fill Byte dialog box opens.

3. Enter a new fill byte.

4. Click OK.

   The fill byte is used for the dataset.

   In the user options, you can define a fill byte to be used as default. Click > HEX Files tab > Fill byte.
