Using the ASAM-2MC Subset Generator

To generate a new, optimized A2L file with the ASAM-2MC Subset Generator:

1. In the Database Objects list box, select the project from which you want to generate a new A2L file.

2. In the Utilities menu, select ASAM-2MC-Subset Generator.

   The ASAM-2MC-Subset-FileSelection dialog box opens.

3. Enter a file name in the Target Filename field.
4. Click Change to change the storage path.

5. Click Next.

   The ASAM-2MC-Subset-Measurements dialog box opens.

6. In the Source field, mark the entries you want in the new A2L file.

7. Click >to accept the marked entries or click all to accept all entries.

   The marked entries are copied to the Target field. To remove all entries from the Target field, click reset. To remove individual entries from the Target field, click <.

8. Following selection, click Next.

   The ASAM-2MC-Subset-Characteristics dialog box opens.

9. Select entries as described above.

10. Following selection, click Next.

    The ASAM-2MC-Subset-Formulas dialog box opens.

11. Select entries as described above.

12. Following selection, click Next.

    The ASAM-2MC-Subset-Functions dialog box opens.

13. Select entries as described above.

14. Following selection, click Next.

    The ASAM-2MC-Subset-IFDATA dialog box opens.

15. Select entries as described above.

16. Following selection, click Save.

    A dialog box opens prompting you to confirm the save action.

17. Click OK.

    The new A2L file is saved.
