Functions and Groups
The Calibration Data Manager (CDM) supports a function-oriented working method in which variables are considered in the context of the related control device functions.
For your work in the CDM function mode, you can define what type of relationship to a function is to be relevant by taking into consideration (a) only the variables defined therein for functions, (b) only the variables referenced therein, or (c) all variables that occur therein. You can also define whether the subfunctions of a function are to be considered in the same way or not.
In function mode, you have further options for selecting variables and structuring file output, depending on your definitions. You can generate both result files and variable files for individual functions. In this way, you can distribute results of your actions to specific persons responsible for processing individual functions.
Function mode settings are stored in the CDM configuration.
In the same way, the CDM supports group-oriented work in which variables that belong together can be placed in groups. All settings you make for functions in function mode apply in the same way to the groups.
Functions and groups are distinguished by their icons:

In function mode, a variable can be selected and issued several times. The variable can be selected both direct and via one or more functions/groups. Depending on your setting for output files, the variable is written to a separate output file per function/group. |
