Settings for XY-Oscilloscope (outdated)
In the Experiment pane of the Display Configuration tab, properties for the elements used in the Experiment are displayed.
If you click on an XY-Oscilloscope (outdated) in the experiment structure, the corresponding properties are displayed in the following tables:
This table contains the following properties:
Name
Shows the name of the XY-Oscilloscope.
Background color
Opens a color palette. The set color is used as background color of the XY-Oscilloscope.
Channel color list
Defines the order of colors used for the channels.
Display mode
Defines the type of recording.
Oscilloscope | The display is point by point. If the maximum number of points is reached, the display window is cleared and the display begins again. |
Recorder | The display is point by point. If the maximum number of points is reached, the oldest points are deleted. |
Grid type
Defines the grid of the signal view.
No grid | No grid is shown. |
Dynamic grid | The grid size depends on the scaling of the signal. |
Grid division
Defines how the grid is divisioned.
Number of points
Defines the number of measure points (min. 2; max. 10000).
Show legend
Defines whether a list of channels is to be displayed.
Show axes ranges
Also displays the axis ranges for each signal in the signal list.
Show rate
Defines whether the measurement variables grid is to be displayed.
Show numeric values
Defines whether the numeric value of each signal is displayed in the measure value list.
Current Value | Display the current measured value. |
No | No numeric display of the measured value. |
Minimum Peak | Display the smallest measured value. |
Maximum Peak | Display the largest measured value. |
Highlight selected channels in graphic
Defines whether the selected channel is to be highlighted on the graphic display.
Rotation of each axis description
Defines the angle of the axis label.
This table contains the following properties:
Name
Shows the names of the measure variables contained in the XY-Oscilloscope.
Data representation
Displays the type of information representation.
Phys | Represents the value of the measure variable as physical variable. |
Hex | Represents the value of the measure variable as hexadecimal variable. |
Dec | Represents the value of the measure variable as decimal variable. |
Bin | Represents the value of the measure variable as binary variable. |
Line style
Defines the type in which the line of a measurement curve should be displayed.
None | Measurement curve is not displayed. |
Solid | Measurement curve is displayed by a solid line. |
Long dashed | Measurement curve is displayed by a dashed line with long dashes. |
Dotted | Measurement curve is displayed by a dotted line. |
Short dashed | Measurement curve is displayed by a dashed line with short dashes. |
Short long dashed | Measurement curve is displayed by a dashed line with short and long dashes. |
Dash dotted | Measurement curve is displayed by a dashed line with dots and short dashes. |
Color
Opens a color palette. The set color is used as line color of the measure variable.
Symbol
Defines the default form of the symbol at the acquisition points: you can select between a rectangle, a cross, a circle and a triangle.
Symbol size
Defines the size of the symbol at the acquisition points (between 5 and 100).
Show index
Defines whether the signals in the graphic region of the oscilloscope are to be index by default with the signal number from the tabular signal list.

Display of the index number can be activated separately for the display in INCA and the print-out. |
No | Signals are not indexed in the graphic region of the oscilloscope. |
View | The graphic signals are indexed in the graphic region of the oscilloscope in INCA, but not in the print-out. |
Printout | The graphic signals are indexed in the printout, but not in the graphic region of the oscilloscope in INCA. |
View and Printout | The graphic signals are indexed both in the graphic region of the oscilloscope in INCA and in the print-out. |
Time master
Defines the time axis of the XY-Oscilloscope.
Axis
Defines the Y-axis of the XY-Oscilloscope.
Axis range
Defines the axis range of the measure variable.
Device
Displays the name of the device to which the measure variable belongs.
