Options: General Tab
To go to this tab, click the Options
toolbar button and select the General tab.
You can make the following general settings:
Logging
Specifies whether logging takes place:
Disable Logging
No logging delete workspace of ASAM MCD 3MC window.
Log only to screen
Logging in workspace of ASAM MCD 3MC window.
Log to screen and file
Logging in workspace of ASAM MCD 3MC window and also to the ASAP3.LOG file in the ASAP3 directory.
The file is not deleted automatically. If the file already exists, new log data is appended to it.
Log only to file
Logging to the ASAP3.LOG file in the ASAP3 directory, no logging in the window.
The file is not deleted automatically. If the file already exists, new log data is appended to it.
Max. Logfile size
Defines the maximum size of the log file.
Logging Level
Specifies what is logged:
Only Errors
Error messages only.
Commands
Commands with parameters.
Full
Commands with parameters, responses and error messages.
Update LED indicators
Defines whether the LED status display in the taskbar is to be updated.
Send Acknowledge
Defines whether a confirmation (status code $AAAA) is to be sent following each command received by the ASAP3 interface.
Use database names in 'SELECT / DEFINE DESCRIPTION FILE AND BINARY FILE'
Defines whether INCA database item names are used instead of path/file names.
Data Download at 'SELECT DESCRIPTION FILE AND BINARY FILE'
Defines whether data is automatically downloaded to the electronic control unit.
Create New DS at Download within MCS
Defines whether a new dataset is created when data is downloaded to the electronic control unit.
The dataset name of the working page should be selected as binary file name if you use a dataset in the INCA database.
Labels are case sensitive
Defines whether the look-up of variables in INCA is case-sensitive.
Load differences after switching ignition off/on
Defines whether control devices are automatically initialized with data saved in INCA following ignition on/off.
Include timestamp in recorder results
Defines whether an additional channel ("_time_") is automatically to be recorded with the timestamps of the measurement (in ms) during measurements.
