Parameters for ETH-Log

Enter any name for the ETH-log module

You can choose one of the following options:

• Retry always

• Abort after failure

• Abort at start, retry later

Integer value, starts with one for the first ETH-Log device in the hardware configuration.

• The value is used for logging of events from the respective bus.

• The value increases by one for each additionally added ETH-Log device.

• If an ETH-Log device is deleted, the other ETH-Log devices are renumbered.

• You can also swap values between devices.

Optionally, filters can be assigned to ETH-Log devices and stored as data base element with a new filter element type.

To apply a capture filter

• Click into the value cell.

  A context window opens.

• In the context window, click on Add.

  The Ethernet Capture Filter Editor opens.

• Edit your filter expression and click Apply.

The Capture Filter Editor supports syntax validation. The filter definition follows the Berkeley Packet Filter syntax.
