CMP Monitoring of Ethernet Payload (SP 1)
CMP (Capture Module Protocol) defines the communication between capture modules (probes) and data sinks to monitor in-vehicle bus communication and sensor data, according to ASAM.
In INCA, the Ethernet access points of the Ethernet probes are represented in the Hardware Configuration as CMP_ETH nodes. In parallel to the CMP_ETH node , other devices can be added, such as XCP, SOME/IP-Monitoring, Ethernet-Monitoring and SOME/IP-MC, if installed. In the Hardware Configurator window, via Hardware > search for hardware, the CMP_ETH node and children are added.
CMP Monitoring has the following features:
Capture CMP V1.0 IEEE 802.3 Ethernet frames
Extract original Ethernet frames (Payload Type 0x08) out of CMP container
Interpret Ethernet frames by related descriptions and extract measurement values
Supported devices: Network card, ES886.2, ES570, Vector Ethernet Network
Hint: All Stream IDs from all Device IDs are received, the Interface ID must be unique in the CMP network.
