Add bit flag signal

Multiple binary states can be stored as individual bits of a single numeric signal. Use the Add bit flag signal operation to extract these bit flags as separate signals so that each state can be evaluated individually.

The operation creates one signal for each extracted bit flag. Each signal indicates whether the corresponding bit of the source signal is set.

  1. After adding the Add bit flag signal operation, select the signal that contains the bit flags in the Signal to be split field.

  2. In the Bit flag count input field, enter the number of bit flags to extract.

The operation extracts the bits starting with bit 0. For example, a bit flag count of 8 creates individual signals for bits 0 through 7.
